Gday all
No tweaks is not his nickname...
I have made some amendments to the first tanker I sculpted.
As follows... Swapped heads, made the collar, extended the waistband to overhang his pants, altered the creases in his groin area (!) bulked out some leg folds, and clearly removed the greasegun slung over his shoulder and hanging at his back...
Have carved a belt to peek from under the waistband and attach to his canteen... He needs to be smoothed a fair bit, but trying to nut out the best way is another story...
What do you think of his gloved hand? Does he grip the greasegun naturally?
I figure him to be ankle deep in mud, observing the fate of his bogged Sherman...
Cheers for any feedback
Brad

Still not satisfied with the build? :-) :-) His hand do look a bit "gloved". The finish is good and so are the fingers. You might just wanna smoothen the glove a bit (the texture).

Thanks Ralph, and no the eternal search for perfection continues...:-)
And speaking of gloves, does anyone have reference pics of US tanker gloves? May need to sculpt some for my next lil fig...

Excellent work! Your sculpting is terrific. This figure really looks the part. As far as the gloves, I would think that either good ol' woolen O.D., or maybe brown leather gloves were commonly worn. Take a look at Tim Streeter's site about modeling U.S. soldiers. Keep up the excellent work, Brad! Best regards, Dave
