Can metalics be air brushed, I hope to finish a aircraft Ive been trying to build since the last century,it needs to be aluminium and I have a tin of worn aluminium by Humbrol I was worried about how much it would have to be thinned.can anyone advise please.

Yep, I airbrush metallics and metalizers. no problem except they are a bit*h to clean up. :-)

The metal cote Colours spray superbly when well thinned with Cellulose thinners, which is also what I have used the few times that I have sprayed conventional Humbrol metallics, but as dave said, cleaning is a sod, as they never seem to completely go.
The best by far is to buy yourself some Alclad 2, now that is a real beauty to spray and does so straight from the bottle. Just use thin coats and dont be tempted to try and add it in one hit. I again clean up using cellulose thinner and badger aerosol Sparayout.
Lots of ventilation though and it is advised to ensure that you wear a mask.

I guess thats one place, but you also find it in many model shops as it is used by those people who make model aeroplanes and other things.
