Looks like a Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station to me, or CROWS for short. If it is that, its operated by a bloke sitting underneath, in the somewhat safer position of inside that Humvee. Cheers
Upon Being asked why he was being pushed back by a "Comonwealth" division at El Alamein, Rommel replied,
"it is not a Commonwealth division, it is an Australian Division, why, give me 2 Australian Divisions and i will conquer the world for you!"

Yes this is definetly one of our HMMWV's It is an owerhead weapons station (OWS) and it is a demo setup (it looks as the picture was taken on one of the weapon fairs, will check further)
All of our HMMWV's have the old US made M2's mounted on the WWII style mounts. Since 2004 we have front shields mounted on all of the vehicles as a consequence of Afghanistan deployments.
We are looking at the OWS but I don't belive that HMMWV's are anywhere close to be a high priority for those.
I do have some pictures if anyone is interested but have never posted pictures on Armorama

Thanks Mario
I stand corrected The ows on the picture is a product of our technical services. Production was once again driven by deployments, this time Lebanon. First few units shipped out a few days ago. The rest of the vehicles should be equipped with these ows shortly.
Will try to get the pictures but it will take me a while.
