Has anyone heard if Dragon will produce flak crew figures for the 2cm and 3cm flak guns? I can’t believe that a company that produces such a large range of figures would release these gun kits without a crew available for them! If anyone has any news I would be glad to hear it.
Thanks much,
Tim

Tim,
There are a set of luftwaffe crewmen produced for the 2cm flak by Tristar which look very nice in the box and you can see them on the PMMS site. Without a doubt I can see the aftermarket companies making some appropriate figures.

Kirin make a set that I'm working on at the moment.
Be warned however they take a fair bit of kit bashing to fit the Tamiya.
Cheers

Hi Tim,
I encountered the same problem. As I was looking for the crewmen which are seen on the boxart of the Dragon Flak-38, after a short researchsession I discovered that these crewmen have never been produced (yet). I do think you have to look out for the Kirin or Tristar-set.

Hi Tim
I think everybody who bought one of the new Flaks, is looking for an adequate crew, me too I checked the one from Tristar, but they are not my personal quality standard. So, I would recommend two sets from Warriors.
At first, item 35550 http://www.modellbau-koenig.de/catalog/images/wa35550.jpg
or item 35282 http://www.modellbau-koenig.de/catalog/images/wa35282.JPG
regards Nico

@ Nico,
there is one issue that does not relate to quality in this case and that's the winteruniforms. I once checked the Flakcrew (on the first picture), but I doubt that the gunner fits on a Flak-38...Aber richtig ausprobiert hab Ich's nicht
Schönes Wochenende

Hi Frank
Maybe the 37mm Flak crew won´t fit to the 20mm, but with a little extra work the gunner could be "adjusted" to the right position.
Do you mean, that the Warriors winter crew is not good quality? I´don´t have them but it will be good to know.

Thanks everyone for making a reply and for the information. I guess I have really been hoping for a new set of flak crew figures. I have some of the kits recommended here already. With more than one gun it would be great to have new multi pose figure sets for the flak guns, maybe in winter and summer uniforms. Maybe Dragon or another company will do something for us in the future. I for one would like to see the focus on Luftwaffe flak crews.
Thanks again,
Tim

A set of Luftwaffe Flak Crew were designed in recent months and should likely come to the top of the release list fairly soon.

Well good news the Flak crew has been announced on Dragon U.S.A. and Great Models is taking orders. Release date is in March.
