OK, I would like to make it the easiest way possible as i'm completelly new to this techique...i built this 1/16 figure and and would like to give it so shadowing as it looks flat. From what i have read on here...I should highlight it by painting it all with Future (that stuff for floors) and what then-just one coat?
What color should I use? in process of painting i used mostly MM enamels and some Tamiya acrylics.
What color should I use, black or maybe dark brown, enamels or acrylic...to do a wash i need to thin it in 9 to 1 thinner/paint ratio?
I have MM enamel thinner, can I use that?
I know it's a lot of questions but from what i unrestand washing models and figures requires different techniques...
I was trying to find info on how to do it on figure but no luck...thanks so much if anyone can help it would be great.

Washes on 1/16 scale are not enough to paint shadows. The shadows should be painted in by making a darker version of your base colour. So whatever green you have for your coat, add black or another dark colour, and paint in the shadow. Then add a light colour like sand or flash, to your base colour and paint in the highlights.
Washes are practically only good, for defining details, and where different colours meet at this scale.

I wouldn't add black...believe it ot not, red works very well as a darkening agent for green.
