I took the plunge when I was at my LMS last week and decided to give a 1/48th kit a crack. I was totally against them for a while being a 1/35th armour only kinda chap. However now I have started the build I am 100% hooked on them and I want more, more, more !!. It's about I would say 90 % complete, just have the tools and lights etc etc to go on and be painted, then the decals and then weathering.

It's painted in Humbrol 102 US Army Green, although I think it's a very good standard armour green myself.
Hope you like what I have done so far any comments welcomed and if you are thinking of maybe trying a 48th scale JUST DO IT !!
