Which is a better airbrush (Badger 155 Anthem vs Iwata Eclipse HP-BCS) if I require the following:
-Good balance between broad area coverage and detail work
-Ease of cleaning
-Reliability
-Ability to spray lacquers (Alclad, Mr Color and MM Metalizer) and Acrylics (Tamiya)

This is primarily to replace my leaking Aztek A4709. Are both the Anthem and Eclipse better than the Aztek?

I'm only considering bottom fed airbrushes, since I prefer to have the ability to not have to refill everytime I do a basecoat (i.e. on a 1/32 F-16) and I will probably also be getting a Tamiya HG Superfine for fine detail work.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi There
I would go for the Iwata BCS the make up/engineering on all their range of airbrushes is far superior, they are stainless steel bodies (easy clean) and hard steel needles , you can feel the differance if you get the chance to hold one in each hand and operate the action.
All Iwata eclipse airbrushes will do fine lines and the BCS has the large nozzle 0.5 so larger areas will not be a problem.
I have put every kind of paint through my eclipse with no problems, Badger bottles fit the eclipse BCS and Iwata do a good range of differant size bottles also.
remember though never leave an entire airbrush to soak in solvent (I have known people to do this)
If you need to know anything more just ask
