Hi all.
Im sure you have all been asked this a dozen times or more but can anybody give me some paint reference numbers (or mix ratios) for spraying UK armour in the correct shades for both Desert Storm and Op Telic as in my opinion, looking at reference photos from both conflicts, there seems to be some variance between the two colour schemes. Please can somebody point me in the right direction.
Thanks Guys/Girls

Pasted in from my last reply
The British Army changed its desert colour completely between Op Granby (1991) and Telic (2003).
The MM Gulf Armor Stone colour represents the 1991 shade, not the vivid yellow of 2003 (of course there were a wide variety of 'sand' shades on other vehicles as always). The Osprey Modelling book on the Challenger suggests the following mixes using Tamiya paints
Op Granby (1991) XF59 x 4 + XF57 x 1 + XF19 x 1
Op Telic (2003) XF60 x 3 + XF3 x 1

IIRC Xtracolour do the Op Granby colour too.

Be aware that most colours have been painted over the bronze green (WOLF, Oshkosh, etc) and green and black - to varying extents and standards and that many vehicles aren't re-painted at all.
Replacement items (AFV road wheels, doors, wings etc) come factory painted in bronze green too and are rarely if ever re-painted.
New (not re-roled NI) Snatch Landrovers came factory painted in sand and most RAF (including RAF Regiment WMIKs) are properly sprayed in RAF sand (which has a distinctly pink tinge).
