-The Faun SLT-56 does not have the correct trailer version as the ones deployed with the UN German Forces to Somalia...it should have the shorter trailer.

The UN units used the 52 ton (8x0) semi trailer, with a larger platform. Trumpeter provides the 56 ton semi trailer.
Furthermore, the Trumpeter tractor shows some mix in (cabin) details between the SLT 56 Franziska and the SLT 50-3 Elefant, which, however, can be improved rather easy with some Evergreen and the Eduard etch sets. In some literature you may find that the tractors used in Africa had the Modular Schutz Ausstattung, an extra armor plating and bullet proof glass.
Examples of UN white Fauns can be found in the excelent Wings & Wheels Publications 'Bundeswehr Tank Transporters in Detail' covering the Faun and its trailers perfectly (ISBN 80-86416-44-5)

Don't forget the Ferret Scout Car that was used in Cyprus UNFYCYP for many years.

B Squadron The Life Guards 1979

Patrolling in the Danish sector, I am the Commander.

Good quality kits of the Ferret (all marks) are available through Accurate Armour, Scotland.

I also have a couple pics showing an AUF 1 howitzer wearing the UN white scheme, Meng makes the kit . I'm considering this scheme for mine

Google shows photo's of a truck similar to the Buffalo, with 4 tires, that would be a fun build! The hood reminds me of the Aussie Bushmaster
