Hello Gents
Here are 2 images of my latest work: 1/16 Russian Officer.
I've been working on this figure too long...
He will have 2 signal flags in his hands. This one will be released
Jan. 2007. I will try to post images of a complete resin model of
the figure this weekend. Any comments and questions are welcome
as usual

Hi Taesung. Use a different putty colour each time you set down to work on it?
Cool figure and with two flowing flags should be another very attractive piece. In the first image his right thumb looks a bit short/stumpy .. maybe because it will be pressed against the flag and image angle?? Love the texture of the gloves. Cant fault the figure at all. Nice one!

Excellent! great texture on his glove sleeve and another remarkable face.
Will he also be released in 1:35?
Will you ever consider 1:35 Russian peasants? I know with your sculpting abilities they would be fantastic...I know there are marketing considerations etc. Just curious.
Again, great piece you've created.
Cheers,
Charles

Hello
Thanks for the kind words. I think the right thumb looks a little short because
I made it kind of thick. The hand will be cast with a flag stick, and I didn't want
to have ant gap between the thumb and the stick. It might look better with flag
in his hand

Hello Charles
How are you?
A set of Russian figures in identical uniforms are already released in 1/35.
I'm not sure if I can make convincing Russian peasants...
Thanks!

Hi Taesung,
Thanks for the prompt response. I'm doing fine..
I love your 1:35 Russians, I was hoping for a pose like this 1:16 figure but in 1:35
I have no doubt that you could sculpt fantastic peasants....it's just whether or not it would be worth your while sales wise I'd buy several sets!

Cheers,
Charles

Gday Taesung
I like this bloke! He looks a real 'poster boy' for the motherland...
Lovely proportions and I agree that with the flags he will look quite 'flowing'...
What are you making the flags out of?
Oh, and did you sculpt off an actual uniform, or photographs?
Cheers

Hello Gents
Thank you all for the compliments!
I designed the pose, and Mr. Mike Baskette helped me with the
uniforms and equipments. The flags were made with putty in order
to make them thick enough to cast.

Here are more images by Jaume prior to painting.

Taesung- Great pose and detail. Will any 1/16th Russian tank crew figures be released for the Trumpeter T-34 series? I would love to see a Commander and Driver! Cheers-

Hello Rob
The figure was made with the Trumpeter kits in mind.
The tankers wore this type of uniforms in the early years
of the war... I would say 41-42.
