Dragon Models have just announced a new, 5-figure 1/35th scale set. Good news as well, in that we are now seeing more ''in-action'' poses as well. Information (at the moment) is a little scant but will doubtless be augmented in the coming days. The story can be seen:

Good. Some early war figures. Hopefully DML will make more early war vehicles to complement these figures Now I wonder why didn't they standardized Gen II and still some are gen I standards?

It would be nice if DML did that. I'm glad to see that one of the panzer crewmen is depicted wearing the 'crash-helmet' without the floppy beret.

Greetings all,

I think this is a nice mix of figs. Very useable and it will be good to have another early war set on the scene. The sldr with the AT rifle is a neat touch and the poses of all the figs look good.

Good thinking DML a nice mix.

Cheers

Al

Basically the amount of pieces. The gen II sets have broken down items even further, so details are sharper and undercuts can be created. Usually more work to build a figure, but well worth the effort. The gen II accessories are excellent .. great details. A lot of the small items are rendered in brass. If you check out THIS LINK you can see reviews of previous genII figure sets.

Question: do these new sets that are not genII, have the superior genII accessories included?

Agreed. Very useful figures and nice poses.

I'm so glad Dragon have released them.

Pretty soon they will have produced enough individual figures to represent every single person who served with Whermacht/SS, maybe then we will have another box of crappy British/Commonwealth figures forced upon us before they start the cycle all over again with dress uniforms, or the civilian clothes they were wearing on the day they all enlisted.
As any schoolboy know, WWII was a 6 year war between Germany and .. um ...

David, i'm sorry to say it, but you really are singing a tired old tune....

Although I may agree with some of your points (the need for a considerable number of NEW Allied releases for example). I will say, that much as others may agree with you, the reality is that these ('What's New') threads are for the subject covered in the News Story, Review or Feature - not for a discussion on the marketing/release policy of DML There are an enormous amount of forums where subjects like this can be brought up and discussed. This is no attempt to limit your right to express an opinion - simply an indication that THIS thread isn't really the best place for it...

Sorry Jim, just the usual exasperation. Lovely Shermans hitting the shelves and nothing new to go with them.

Still, last time I complained anywhere Dragon did produce the aforementioned Shermans so I'm trying to maintain my 100% positive response record. It needs to be seen to be effective.

End of whinge. Enough of the negativity Moriarity.
