Hi All,
Got a box of the DML WW2 Japanese infantry and am in the assembly process and so of course am mentally preparing to paint :-)
I got the uniform colors down but need some clarification from someone who may have done more study on WW2 Japanese equipment, particulary the helmet, some pictures I have found show it a brownish color and others show it painted an OD green. which one is it!? I'm wanting to do the figures in pacific island fighting and their in light weight uniforms if that has anything to do with the helmet color? TIA

I did some work on this years ago and from what I can remember, anything from OD to Olive Green (from dark to light) would be correct.
Of course you could also add helmet netting and stick in some foliage depending on the situation. Whatever you decide, the colors are not going to be 'incorrect' no matter what (well metallized pink may be going TOO far ) you decide...
