Howdy folks
I'm mid-build, and at step 10 there is an option on the antenna mounts... There are B8 or B33... They use B8, which although I don't know my [auto-censored] from my elbow sometimes, to me it appears to be the Brit version...
Could anyone shed some light please?
Oh, and as mine is to be a Normandy + version, was the early one piece transmission housing more common? Or would it depend on which specific tank or battalion you are modelling?
Cheers for the infp

Hi Brad,
As far as I know....
B8 is the British version, B33 the U.S.A. version.
I have only seen photos of the single piece transmission housing for the British.
Cheers

In theory - yes. In reality? Both types were to be seen...

Brad,
If you are doing a British or Commonwealth version then use B8. If you are doing a Free French version use B33.

The single peice nose became standard very early in the production of the M4A2 tanks. As Jim points out the 3 peice nose was also used, but was less common. Hunnicutts book shows a late production M4A2 with the Sherman III hull with the late sharp nose, so even that one is possible.
