i got a 1/16 tiger 1 tank for my birthday/Christmas since its both really close together. i dont know were to buy a four channel r/c unit with servos. i also read that a four channel remote is expensive but you dont want to buy a aircraft remote. so were can i buy a four channel remote with servos? BTW whats a servo?? and wahts a good brand to buy from?

If you got the Tamiya Tiger full option you don't need servos. You will need a reciever and a 4 channel remote control. The reciever usually comes with the remote control. Any decent hobby shop should be able to sell you one. And you don't need a very expencive one for the Tiger. I have built the Tiger some years ago and it is operated with a rather cheap transmitter. Read the manual carefully and you will see what you need. If I remember correctly you also need two batteries, but everything is explained in the manual. Have fun building it.

The most common brand is the Futuba Skysport 4-channel, but MAKE SURE you get the Skysport for ground use. It uses a different set of frequencies for ground use versus R/C aircraft use. The only difference is the type of crystals they put inside. It is usually identified with a sticker on the box.
