Dragons free figure

I just got Dragon's free figure. While I model Modern Day Braille Scale, I will build the figure and I'm wondering, can I paint the figure for NWE or will I need to paint the figure for DAK as the image artwork shows it.

Haven't seen the picture or the figure, but DAK and NWE are very different uniforms.

I was fortunate enough to get one; I haven't had time to do more than glance at it and I noticed that the boots are desert ones. I think a lot of work would be required to make it suitable for NWE.

Ron Volstad whose illustration the figure is based on thinks it can be painted to represent the reed green denim uniform. All you need to do is slice off the pocket pleats
