Great job!

Tell us how the Zvezda kit went together and are there any after market stuff for the JS 2?.

Looks good Engin, Nice work. I built one of these last year for the Russian Big and Beefy Campaign and really enjoyed it.

Looks great Engin. All the details are clearly visible ... good wash and drybrush work. Decals are perfect. Personally I like more weathering, but thats a personal choice, so I wont take that any further except for the steel roadwheels. The rims still have their green paint. Rolling metal contacting metal will remove paint!

Thanks for the comments.

Percheron, the kit went together not very smoothly or very badly either. In other words it's not a "shake and bake" kit but a decent one. I encountered some fit problems when glueing the upper and lower parts of the turret and the back of the chassis but not very bad. I didn't use any aftermarket products.

By the way, anybody can tell what is written on the back of the turret?

Happy modelling.

First of Engin, you've done a really good job with a VERY basic kit. I don't know if it's the original finish or you've reworked it, but the texture on the turret is good as well although it could actually be roughened further

For anyone else thinking of building the JSII, my advice is to wait a few months. DML will (soon?) be issuing the Premium Edition JSII. From what i've been told, there have been some VERY big improvements done on it so it'll be interesting to see how far they're going to take it...

Thanks again for posting this - great to see those 'Heavies'

Very nicely detailed. Are you going to mud it up a bit??

Not bad!
Why don't you add a bit more dust on the lower hull?

Overall a nice looking model. I know some people don't like doing photo etch but the engine deck screens would realy look much better if replaced with photo etch and the mold seam on the travel lock stands out in the one photo. The travel lock is made of round, smooth steel stock like steel tube... There would not be a seam on any part of it. Regards, Bob

Thanks again guys for the comments.

Bob, I'm not that kind of a person but I somewhat hesitated to spend some extra cash on the photoetched parts for this kit... :-) And thanks for the heads up on the travel lock, I will correct it right away.

Giacomo and jasondiggs, I don't think using this model for a diorama so I think this much weathering will be enough for now. Thank you.

Frank, thanks for warning about the rims. I really didn't think that way. I'll corect it.

Happy new year.
