My rendition of the M-1025 I was in, in the desert. It was OIF2 so we would patrol at night and not be over burdened with lots of equipment. Got it done just in time for the end of the Hum-vee campaign. Hope you enjoy and am willing to hear the knocks too.

Its the Tamya M-1025 with the Eduard PE set too. The radio rack, FBCB2, antenna's and bases, the water can holder and rear CIP all scratch built.

The LRAS3 was built using silicon putty and styrene and fine wire. The base for the LRAS3 was made with bits 'o aluminum, styrene, plexi-glass and modeling clay. Not the best work but I guess it'll due.

Hi Dan,
nice model and very original variant of the M-1025. I like the LRAS and the job you did to have it looking so good. I guess the computer screen inside is linked to the LRAS itself in a way or another. Is it "wired" ?

The only area you could improve, IMHO, is the painting. I think your model deserve more attention to it espceially the wheels and the various fuel or oil stains which look overdone.

Thanks for the imput Bison. I do think the stain came out a little dark. In real life it was from the power-steering pump blowing up which left the fluid spewing out of the hood onto the windshield.

The "computer" screen is the FBCB2 (like Blue FOR tracker). At that time the LRAS didnt connect to the FBCB2 at all, but I heard they were working on it.

BTW we drove with no doors until the ASK armor was put on. A picture of one of the trucks in my old Troop is on page 44 of HMMVW's in Iraq in the lower left corner.

It's supposed to represent a PAS-13 thermal sight. I used the sight from the M-16/AR-15 weapons set by Dragon. It was mounted on lead foil glued to the .50 cal and shaped. Here is a pic of the real vehicle.
