I'm in the early stages of planning a German railyard dio using Trumpeter's BR52 locomotive and Karl Morser Gerat on rail transport. Problem is I'm not sure what figures would be appropriate. Any suggestions on which manufacturer's sets would be a good choice for both train crew and yard workers?

Hi Barry. Check out the miniart figures. They have a couple of very useful "Germans at work" sets. Good poses, quality and price. As for train drivers, I believe it was warriors who released a set of 2 figs, for the BR52.

I have done exactly that I recommend the Trumpeter Karl crew that can be depicted preparing to lower the Karl onto planks set around the rail bed.

Vinnie has a review of the Warriors engine crew for the BR 52 here

I also have the Dragon Heer Military police with Dogs (kit no Dr 6098) and the old Tamiya BMW with the sidecar and 4 figures as security guards

and the Dragon German Command Staff figures kit no Dr 6213
as a group of four senior Officers and an Adjutant having their own little conference in front of the BR52.

The possiblitiys are wide open as plenty of figures can be included without becoming too dominant with such large kits
