Hi guys,
A while ago i was working on some Tamiya figures for the Normandy Campaign.
They were the first figures i'd seriously painted since my teens.Unfortunately as some of you might remember i thought i'd add some Hornet heads instead of using the Tamiya ones.Unfortunately i didn't do enough research, had the Hornet heads near completition and was told by a few members that the they were actually for paratroopers..not the infantry.
Anyways,i started a few days ago trying to knock these out of the way,but using the original heads from Tamiya.
First the old pics:
Now with the Tamiya heads, without rifle straps:
With PE rifle straps and equipment:
Still have to add decals for the insignia and highlights etc.
Any comments are welcome!
Cheers, and a Happy New Year guys!
Shay

Hey Shea, they look a lot better with the right helmets. Nice work.

Those figs look sharp! What did you use for the netting on the helmets? Turned out really cool!

Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies..i've learnt a little more about the figure paitning process so my next ones will be much better(fingers crossed)!
@Art Summit, the netting over the helmets was a tip i learnt from the guys here. You just simply cut a piece of gauze bandage (raid the medicine cupboard),glue it on to your helmet, pressing firmly so that everything has stuck down .
Leave it to dry out,cut any excess off then simply dry brush the netting in your desired colour,i used Tamiya buff.
cheers,Shay
