Gday Paul
Yes you can...
The decals and also the paintwork will have to be altered...
The paintwork after leaving England should be Olive drab as per the US versions, but I think were repainted as needed in the field with a 'greener' shade of OD...
Have a look at the IWM collection. Do a search with the keyword Sherman, and you'll find plenty of pics to inspire you!
Cheers

I would leave off the sand shields, stowage rail and the flimsy rack on the front fender and either leave off the Stowage bin altogether or mount the squarer one you need for NWE. Some British Shermans didn't mount a stowage bin at all and I haven't seen that earlier type bin in use in NWE. I'm sure you could find someone willing to trade stowage boxes with you here on the Big A.

The 3 piece transmission cover would have been a bit of a rarity on an M4A2 in NWE as well....the early rounded one piece type was MUCH more common.

The others have covered the main points in detail (Turret Stowage Box style, no rails , flimsy rack etc) but be aware only 2 Brit & 1 CDN brigades used the M4A2 in NWE (A few french did also). These Brigades were:
8 AB (refer here for excellent breakup and markings) http://www.armouredacorn.com/Reference/BAM/Default.htm
Units: 4/7 Dragoon Guards (994 in white on red) 24 lancers till Jul 44 (995) and Nottinghamshire Yeoanry (Sherwood Rangers) (996)
Note that 13/18th Royal Hussars replaced the 24 lances in Jul 44 (995)
Brigade Marking was a red Fox on yellow disc
27 AB (disbanded late Jul 44 and used as reinforcements for other units/brigades
Units: 13/18th (wh 51 on Red Square - to 8 AB Jul 44), 1st East Riding Yeomanry (52) and Staffordshire Yeomanry (53)
Bde Marking was a Yellow Seahorse with white outline on a blue shield)
2 CDN AB
1st Hussars (wh 51 on red square with white stripe below), Fort garry Horse (52), Sherbrooke Fusiliers (53).
Brigade marking was a yellow maple leaf on black square with a horizontal blue band through centre.

Quartermaster Depot I believe do a set of markings for "Bomb" a surviving M4A2 of the Sherbrooke fusiliers.
