This is probably common knowledge to the experts but may help any newbies. I discovered that when I tried to cut thin strips from .010" styrene by scoring with a No11 blade I ended up with banana shaped strips. Found the answer was to start the cut about 1/16" in from the edge of the sheet and stop about the same from the other edge. Then when the cut penetrates the sheet you just cut through the end bits and have a nice straight strip!
