I've wondered if replacing the sight on a .50 was worth it (when one is available in s PE detail set). You've just shown me it is! As impressive as this was showing the detail work, seeing it so well painted makes it even better. My hat is off to you.

For Airwarrior:
Gosh, it's copper showing up on the handle. I did'nt recognize it before, but... consider it fixed!
For Al:
the part at the back of the sight it's PE but the front one it's scratchbuilt from copper wire
For everybody:
Thanks very very much for your support, tips and comments

That is a wonderful job on that kit.Nearly making a silk purse out of Sow-1's ear.
Makes my M-47 seem so,so INADEQUATE!
I hope the TC or someone climbs out and secures the phone box door, that phone is going to tumble out,and get dragged along by its cord.
Hey,that would be a neat thing to replicate...

Thank you very much for the kind words and the appreciation of my work. Looking at your comments my M47 seems outstanding, but I can see (and already put on the paper) a lot of room for improvement...
Anyway you can be sure that I'll continue posting, when I'll have time to build something else. To build the M47 it took a few months, not for the difficulty of the task itself, but due to the few time available.
Animal:
if you go through the thread I explained quite a bit of the "technicalities" either visually or in writing. Anyway if you want to know more, 2-2 Dragon gave me the opportunity to write an article for his site http://www.patton-mania.com and I was very proud to do it, and I submitted the text to him yesterday. In the article you will find more details about the construction. If you're interested in something in particular don't exhitate to PM me whenver you wish.

This tank touches my monkey.............and I'm serious when I say that. I may print this out and tape it to my bedroom ceiling.
