Looking great so far! The two-level concept there looks very promising! Please keep us posted.

I "REALLY" like this concept! I have only seen one other like this... a sewer tunnel / Europe scene set in Berlin 1945. Will you be stringing litebulbs along the corridor or perhaps small ricegrain torches to visibly illuminate the details underground?

Thanks for the comments guys you gave me some reinsuriance that I was depicting the seen well. KFMAGEE thats a great idea about the lighting, I had thought about but I was not sure how to pull it off. I was afraid it would take the realism away. If you can help me with the lighting or anyone else let me know . Hey, I think i may have new technique for makeing a palm tree trunk. I took 3/8 dowl pin or you may want to use a diffrent size depending on the scale. I then wrapped masking tape around the dowl rod i think I wrapped it 4or 5 times after you do that wrinkle the tape by twisting it. Than take youre hobby knife and slice a notch around it skip down a little lower and do it again so on so on than paint. The tape may wrinkle when youre wrapping it that is fine. Just thought I would share that.

Really cool idea with the two layers ........ everybody is unanimous about this one. One thing that looks a little out of place is the ladder. The upright parts seem too thick. My vision of a ladder in this environment would be long thin bamboo canes tied with thinner ones for each step. There was a thread on here recently where a guy had scratchbuilt the most amazing ladders in a somewhat similar scene. It would be worth checking through the diorama pages to find this! from the photographs your foilage looks really good.
I know you are not finished but Vlady has a point also. It is such wide dio that it may need something extra to full out the space .... something more than just foilage. Vehicles are the obvious answer but some peasant huts would be suitable as well. Loads of storage in the tunnels and maybe a support or 2 are some usefull fillers for the tunnel length!

Thanks rattler I work on the ladder it looks bigger in the pics for some reason. I posted the palm trunk and possibly a idea for either ferns or palm leaves.
