Hi
I am working on my Accurate Armour Shielder VLSMS at the moment and plan on putting it in an Op Telic dio. Therefore I am wondering whether or not they were given a desert paint job or like the US Marines they went in with a woodland paintjob. I ask this as I have a copy of Military In Scale from October 2005 which shows Shielders in Kuwait prior to the invasion in green and black and so i want to know whether they were repainted when the war began

Thanks, Nick

Spec Ops Vol 26 has 3 pictures of a Shielder with desert paint of which 2 are good size photos. The smaller photo does show 2 Shielders in the same vicinity. Only left and front views
The only visible registration is HT 49 AA. It's got three sections of a skinny CIP affixed to a spare sprocket on the left side just under the drivers hatch and another panel affixed to the frame just above the idler wheel.
