Gday Modellers
About 6 months ago i enquired about wether or not someone could help me locate a scale model diamond t crane truck. I got some leads and thanks very much but.........all leads led to a diamond t wrecker with the twin rear booms.
The model i need as driven by my grandfather in WW11 for the RAAF 1 ACS was a cabin crane mounted on rear and used in airfield construction.
I had a picture but cannot locate it
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
Stuart

Hi Stuart,
Was the crane British or American built? Sounds like maybe it was an American QuickWay crane.
Not the best pictures, but see if THIS helps.

Bingo Mr Taylor
Thanks very much, It was American built and i can recognise the animal from the link, now my aim is to locate one.
I dont know which variation it is due to lack of info but they are very similar.
If someone has seen one preferably in 1/35 of 1/48 i would be glad to hear it.
Thanks again Taylor

You are very welcome Stuart, glad you got it identified. Only info I have is in 1/35th, and not very good news.
PSP listed a Quickway, to be available in June 06. They never bothered to make sure the pic they listed actually worked. No updates from them on the status of the kit. I gave up waiting on them.
Here is the link, the listing in on bottom of the page. Quickway

Hi Stuart
Angego/art has released a 1/48th scale white metal kit of the Quickway E55 crane on a Brockway C666 truck chassis :
The kit includes a Timpte T8 trailer that carries the interchangeable equipments of the crane (alternative jib, buckets...)
If you are interested I can send you a 4-page article about this kit from a french modeling magazine
