I'm looking for the best quality 1/72nd scale or 1/76th scale American infantry and tank crews suitable for NWE, 1944~45. I have looked at some wargame metal figures but the weapons all look too chunky. I have been looking at Milicast but wonder about ordering from Scotland (I live in the USA) I see that Italeri makes some but I think that they are soft plastic and I want hard or resin. I usually work in 1/35th and have plenty of figures (Dragon, Warriors and Custom Dioramics among others) and am looking for similar qualti in the smaller scales.

Hey, John --
I know there are a bunch of manufacturers (Airfix, Heller [Airfix reissues], Revell, ESCI, and Pegasus, to name a few), but I do believe they're all the soft plastic. But it has been suggested at our figure club meetings that you could make molds with Alumilite or something and recast them in resin. It's more expensive, but you'd get an unlimited number of figures that way and you could even customize the poses in resin.
Just a thought.

Thanks, thats what I feared. I guess that I'll give milicast a try. I have to order one of their 90mm guns anyway, I hope to do a dio of one of my Father's actions from WW2, when they shot up a column of Panthers.
