Hi folks, hereīs my latest aditionto my colection of Chilean Army kits. In this case, the M-548.
The kit itīs the new 3 in 1 from AFV Club, with some scratch done to the support of the tarp, chains (from fake jewelry), painted with Vallejo Acrilics over Tamiya enamel primer. Effects made with acrilics also. Weathered with Mig Pigments and Tamiya Weathering Pen.
Iīm not really happy of how it ended, i feel itīs a step backwards in my modelling developement. But wanted to share with you all anyway. It has a few mistakes and some not filled parts, but....
Cheers and comments most welcome

Hiya Klaus,
Happy New Year and hoping that you are fully healed now.
Well you have started the year with a little gem, which you should be proud of. It is possible to see your skill improving with each model you finish. Whats next?
Kind regards,
John

Hi John, glad to hear from you and Happy New Year also, for you and your family.
Thanks for the comments, but I really feel that itīs not an improvement to previous kits.
Next one after vacations will be the Dragon M1A1 AIM .....a big challenge waits for me
Best Regards
Klaus

Klaus,
Good build. I am planning a similar M548 build. What did you use to make the bows for the tarp? I was thinking of using brass rods...

Thanks Thomas, I used plastic rod for the tarp bows....not really succesful, but made the job. If your planning to use brass rods, take good measures.....

This may not be your best work, Klaus, but it is still pretty decent. I see what you mean about taking good measurements. It happens to all of us. In my case, more often than not... I still like the weathering on your M548, though.
What did yo think of the AFV Club kit? It's next on my to-do list, after I finish building Tamiya's M1A2 (almost done).

Yep, agree itīs not my best work....but I guess finally ended decent
Anyway, the kit itself itīs really great in my opinion. The fit itīs almost perfect, exception made of the cab cover. The only thing I guess itīs missing are the bows for the tarp, or at least the full tarp, as in the original kit. Another thing are the resin piece, the quad mount and the PE, all of them are pretty good. Worth to build, youīll enjoy it for sure. A fairly easy build after all.
Cheers
