Does the barbed wire look anything close to scale?

It looks like you used the copper wire from inside telephone cords. It's just too thick for barbed wire in 1/35th scale. Good for grab handles and other stuff, though.
Try finding some thinner wire -- like the thin strands in speaker wire or cheap extension cords.

Ok thanks. I used some 24 gauge wire from sot Cat 5 wire. I will try to find something smaller.

Armature wiore can usually obtained from electronics stores and comes in a variety of useful gauges.

Just remember the barbs on barbed wire is about the length of your fingernail. Your barbs are as long as the figure's finger.
