Mmmmmm, eyecandy...
Great looking M1A2 Lucas. I built the same kit a year ago and loved it. For your next Abrams I suggest you buy one of Echelons decal sheets. Then you will have the decals for the APU and CIPs as well.
Good Job

Beautiful build! The stowage really gives it character.

Lucas,
Looking great! I know what you mean about lack of hobby shops! I almost cried when Granddad's in Springfield closed!

Yeah, I felt the same way, Thomas. I went several times during the final sale, and it broke my heart to see how distraught the owner was. This was the first shop I went to after coming back into the hobby a year ago, and now it is gone...

What can be said but cooking their Lucas.
A great build I must say.
The stowage really brought it together.
Going to be hard to match that build and a clean build it is.
well I must say that you kicked it out in fashion.
can't wait to see those promised pics of the M113

Thanks, Jeff! I still say your Abrams is looking better than mine! I've been really busy at work (and with stuff around the house now that it is summer), so my already-slow building pace has slowed down even more. I managed to finish one track on the M113, but I still need to glue the last section of the other side. I'll post in-progress pics when I do that.

Going to be hard to beat you Lucas fine job on the kit.
So are thinking of trying the Sep when it comes out.?
Think I will wait on it and box up the AIM.
What I have heard it is a tough kit and don't want to fight two tough kits .
I guess will have about 3 kits left over.
One more question for you.
What flat coat have you used?
last model I used a Polly scale flat and turned white.
So maybe I think back to the Old Dullcoat.
Just wanting to know.
thanks

I'm definitely going to buy the SEP, but it will go on the pile (where it can keep my AIM kit company) until I feel more confident tackling a build with so many small pieces and PE.
I used Testors Dullcoat, from a can, on this one, although I am now switching to an airbrush. I want to try some of the acrylic flat coats, but haven't been able to get my hands on any yet.

Well after seeing your build of the Tamiya kit I say get the Sep and build it.
You can make a great kit out of it.
Just remember no weekend kit.
I have about 6 kits with PE on them and yes it is a bear to do but final outcome is great.
Patience is utmost in building using PE.
And lack of sanity is also in their.
Check out the Aber set for the Tiger I late.
Never used mine went with the easy Eduard set.
And of cause a hold and fold or whatever to bend the little buggers.
And fresh super glue a must.
Pretty wild when those parts would rather glue to your tweezers then the darn model
Okay I am going back to the Dull coat.
Airbrush one have the can also but I can flash it better if I mix it myself.
After the problem with it turning white {acrylic} staying away from it.
So drive on.
What you building Next Lucas the M-113??
Pics would be nice.
