Hi Martin,
Very good job. I usually like heavily weathered vehicles, but you've done a great job on your weathering. Very subtle, but convincing.
Regards,
Joe

Fantastic. I have that kit in progress also. How did you solve the problem of painting the shells. I have not decided how I am going to do that yet. Looks wonderful. Nice painting and weathering job.

Martin, this is a good looking M10, that is well done.
A heads up for you as there appears to be some of the clear decal edge showing up on the glacis and side stars. Perhaps some dusting can cover that up.
Good work on this one.

Looking pretty good there.. love the weathering effect.. I did that kit a while back and the only thing I really hated about it was the 3 bar cleat tracks that came with it. btw have any fit trouble with the rear bulkhead?

Hi James,
The painting was not a problem, just pick a small brush and have a lot of patience.
I painted the part F11 OD (Tamiya XF-62), after that I painted the gold parts with revell 94 (it is the same paint as Humbrol if I'm right) and the black parts (after drying of the gold) with Humbrol 33.

Thanks for the kind words all.
I don't know how to get rid of the film around the star decals, maybe I should painting the stars next time.
The kit has been build straight out of the box. The bags are from verlinden products kit 1464 (M8 Stowage), Academy 1382 (Allied & German tank supplies set I) and some other stuff I had around.
I build the rear bulkhead I one go, so I could shift a little befor the glue dried
. To fit the ammo tubes was a difficult work aswell.

Nice Job Martin. I especially like the interior.
A small tid bit: To get rid of the silvering you must give the kit a gloss coat before decals, then use a decal setting solution, then a flat coat.

Thanks, this is my first project on US armor in Olive Drab.
I've done a couple with white washes but they didn't work out that well . But now I know that I'm on a good way to build "normal" US armor.
I still have a italeri M-7 Priest which has to be painted

Excellent build and paint. One of my favorite subjects also. Check out my photos to see my M-10 which I recently finished.
The best, Gary

HI there
Nice build, I echo that. The only nitpick I have is the equipment on the vehicle: The brown color is fine, but I would mix a wee bit of bright color to the brown and/or a darker shade just to give a kind of color-differences between the bedroll, tarpaulins etc.
Your work on the interior is great. Thumbs up for sure.
Thanks for sharing it.
Cheers

I was planning to put some more equipment on the tank.
Thanks for your advise on the painting of them, I'll add some different shades on the bags. Maybe I should add some strips to hold the equipment as strappings. Does Anyone have any advise on that?

Hi Martin. Nice job on the M10. Looks great with all the stowage. The silvering decals are the most obvious weakness ... did you gloss under them? Its a tedious step, but unfortunately no other way around it!
The tarps on the front, and the back, could maybe use some strapping or ropes to hold them in place! Your shells looks excellent in the open turret!

Thnx frank for your reply.
I currently working out the straps for the equipment (I have no experience with rope, so I don't know how to paint them or what kind of rope I must use ) But the straps are working aswell. When I'm finished I'll add some more pictures.

Nice M-10 Martin. Especially like the interior. Id just suggest painting the fuel tanks and engine bay (even a simple colour) to cover up the white airbrush 'splatters' on them. A bit more detail on the stowage would also add to the kit. I think those figures will go well, should build into a nice vingette/diorama, well done!
