Hi Guys!
I recently finished my T-70 build from Miniart with an Eduard Etch set. The T-70 is a real pleasure to build and an PE isn't really necessary unless you want to change the screens on the back and the side of the tank. It was my first time to solder all the PE parts together and is it much easier (in most cases) then superglueing the parts together. Because if you make a mistake with soldering you can easy fix is by re-heating the part and try again. But the biggest advantage is that you can first place the part where you want it to be and then fix it. When superglueing is it always the question to place it right on the spot the first time.
Sorry for the oversized photo's
Cheers!,

Nice work so far on your T-70, Jurgen ! You did a great job on those PE fenders. Scratch-built details are nice as well.
I think with all the extra work you put into this kit, maybe replace the kits barrel with a metal one from Jordi Rubio or Aber ?
What did you use for that coaxial MG ? Spare track idea is cool, but why the KV (?) track links ? Was this a common practice on T-70s ?
I have this kit myself, and I'm about to start it. Its good to see a relatively new company like Miniart come out with a really good kit like this right from the "get go".
Good luck with yours, and be sure to post some more in-progress shots.
Cheers !!

Hi Bill,
well, I'm still doubting. I think it will be just green. I set the model away now for a few days to "reload" my inspiration. :-)
Hi Robert,
thanks for the kind words. I was looking for a replacement barrel but I couldn't find any. I know that Armorscale is about to release a barrel but I couldn't wait any longer,.hehe. The kitbarrel is quite good actually. One nitpick is that the opening of the barrel is not completely round. But that is hardly visible.
I used for the co-axial MG a really small brass tube. I bought three years ago a bag of them on a show so I have no idea where you can get this stuff else.
Hehe, the KV tracks. Just put them there for extra protection and to show the differences in size with the KV. It is just scary when you put a KV Big Turret next to the T-70...
