Napoleonic figures.
I would like to know if any of you guys can PLEASE tell me what the correct colors are for the Napoleonic figures in the Vallejo and Andrea acrylic paint line? :-) I need to get a list of ALL the Napoleonic colors the Andrea and Vallejo makes.
Unfortunately, I have been to both Andrea and Vallejo websites to see what they had to offer, but being new to the Napoleonic field I am not sure of all the Napoleonic colors. So, this is why I need to get a complete list of ALL the Napoleonic colors from Andrea and Vallejo. I even tried to ask for a list from both companies and they just directed me back to thier list of all the paints they have, but not telling me which ones are the Napoleonic colors.

The best thing to do is get a good color reference book and do a Mark I eyeball comparison. Remember, there are only paintings, i.e., interpretations of the colors on the Napoleonic period uniforms. Any contemporary fabric has hadnealy two centuries to fade and there were no FS numbers on which to rely. Further, as you paint your figures, you'll be shading anf highlighting which is moving you away from the original base color.
