Just picked up Dragons 1st luftwaffe fied division set(6274).Three questions. What color are the gray uniforms if using modelmaster paint? What color is the liner?And where these troops actual fighting units or just used to cordinate air to ground attacks by the Luftwaffe?

Hi Mike,

to answer your last question. They were ordinary infantry divisions, which were formed out of Luftwaffe-Personal in the mid-war period. This was done to compensate the loses in the east.
First the Divisions were under Luftwaffe Command, later command was transfered to the Heer.
Im not sure, but i think most Luftwaffe Felddivisionen served on the Eastern Front.

They were used in a variety of roles - including combat units although they never acquitted themselves particularly well on the battlefield....
