How do you attach ultracast heads to figures? Do you just glue them on or do you drill a hole first and then glue them in the hole?
Thanks.

Hi,

I've found the best way is to drill a hole into the body, cut the necks to size and then use some super glue.

Cheers

Hi there,
Just like Alan said, drill out the neck area of the figure and use super glue.
Make sure that you drill out the neck at the correct angle or your figure will look like he's taking a nap standing up.
Cheers

Gday baked
I know what you mean with the Ultracast heads; their necks are on the shortside... Wish they were the length of say Hornets, as it's easier to trim than to add...

Hey Bradley,
If I find the neck is too short, I drill a small hole in the neck of the Ultracast heads and glue a short length of brass wire into it.
After drilling out the neck of the figure, I also drill a small hole in the base of the larger hole.
I then dry fit the Ultracast head and trim the length of the wire before I glue the head into the figure.
You can then fiddle with the position and elevation of the head.
If the neck ends up being to be short and doesn't meet up with the figure, you can fill the gaps with putty, Milliput or more gap filler glue.
I usually do this with all my resin figures and I also do the arms the same way.
I find it makes the figures less likely to come apart when I weather the figure or accidently manhandle my figures.
Cheers.
