These are the first in what will probably be a series of questions.

Which barrel for the M4A1(76) to best represent the 3rd AD in France? With or without the muzzel brake?

Any good reference for these on the internet?

Thanks in advance...

Right, I know the Poole story and kind of familiar with that tank, was that typical of the 3rd AD then? Sherman's are not my strong point, basically I am starting from scratch...

My father's buddy was in the 3rd AD. I have Dragon's M4A1(76) to build. I have started my research and looking for fixes to the kit. I am looking to build the "generic" tank as I have no reference of this gentleman's tank. Any suggestions would be great. I have read Terry Ashley's, and Jim's review's. Don't mind doing some AM if needs be but don't want to put A ton of money into it...

IIRC none of the first batch of M4A1 (76) had the muzzle brake fitted and the second batch didn't appear until 1945. Apart from the odd issue like the vent cowl on the turret rear, the Dragon model doesn't need much alteration.
