Hello all,

This is my first post on the armor side of things so please be gentle.

I am currently building the Tamiya M4A3 75mm ( Frontline Breakthrough) kit and as I know little about the technical side of things was wondering what the tracks are that are supplied with the kit and what they were made of ? ( so as to help with the painting ) I also have a set of AFV`s T62 tracks ( long chassis) are they made the same as they look very similar apart from the chevrons and the stud type things.

Thank you in advance,

Peter.

Welcome Peter!

The tracks that come with the Tamiya Frontline Breakthrough kit are the T-48 "rubber chevron" tracks. The rectangular sections were hard rubber which was formed over metal internal rods. The end connectors were metal.

The T62 tracks were all metal.

For more information, go have a look here:

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask more questions as they come to you.
