Did not know where to place this so please no blasts. I have done some looking at the great projects on this site and others, and there is one thing that jumps out at me and that is the small arms....... BAR, M1 Carbines, etc. Most if not all the kits I have seen in plastic and resin show these items in Korean War configuration, even though they look the same there were changes made and they can be seen. NOW some of you are thinking no big deal but when you see a great 6x6 with soldiers jumping out of it or tank riders and the paint and weathering is pefect why not go the extra step and fix there fire arms.
AND yes before I get slapped on the hands some changes were made during WW 2 but they seen very little or no use in the ETO.
My 2 cents worth

Good point.

People should not only research the vehicles, but also the small arms.

Plus, I think it's fun stuff to learn about!

One basic but inclusive reference is Hogg's Military Small Arms of the 20th Century. It's a book I'm never without. Like I said, it's inclusive though it won't have all the varients and photos of each. It is a good starting point though...
