Great work, Morten! I thought the British used much wider bands of black as a camouflage? I could be wrong as I am mostly building WWII
I love the weathering on the side skirts.

Nice job on the old kit. It was the first kit I built when I got back into the hobby and enjoyed it quite a bit. Year weathering does it real justice.
The black bands match the what the instructions and box art give, and may match a photo on the box( I can't remeber now if the tank pictured was solid green or had the black stripes). If those are accurate, I don't know.

Nice build! My one thought is that for the amount of wet mud slung up on the skirts, the roadwheels and tracks look too clean...

Really nice build Morten. I especially like the mud, it's spot on.

Yeah the way the mud is flung up the sides gives the impression of the challenger travelling at speed! Looks great.

Hi guys,
Thank you for the kind words. The mud is done by first airbrushing tamiya buff (similar will do) then a toothbrush is dipped in dark brown earth color with some added gloss varnish for the "wet effect". When you have dipped the toothbrush in the color you desire, you flip back the brushes with your thumb, let go and behold the effect. Itīs very simple and looks OK, I think.
Best regards

Hi Eric and Clarkie,
Thank you for the positive input. Itīs nice with these inputs as it motivates and helps a lot when being in a "motivation low" as I currently am.
Best regards
Morten

Very nice. I really like the look of the barrel jacket.
What is the green canister on the rear of the turret?

Hi Ptruhe,
Thank you very much for the nice comment. I think its the drybrushing on the barrel jacket that does the difference.
I can remember what the instruction said about that canister, other than I painted it in the suggested colors. I would assume that itīs another fire extinquisher (sorry about the spelling :-)) used in a training environment - but then again, its only my best guess and could be way off!
Best regards from Denmark
