Thanks Faust! I don t mind at all! In fact i was trying to do that but gave up after a few tries on trying to link the image to the post......... Yup you got it right. I used generalfailure's method to do the tree. I coated the wires with plaster of paris and putty though..... Doesn't look half as good as his but I reckon it was a good try.......
favorisio,
The leaves were a mixture of dry moss and oregano spices....... I aircbrushed it green with a light coating of yellow on the surface.
Man Im sure you wouldnt be asking for more sunshine if you re here in Singapore!
Ps I hate you lot who can admire snow beside the fireplace while we are standing in the wretched hot sun all year round!

Basturk
On my experiment with the General failure method I found that the trunk of the tree was for my own feeling a little thinand not correctly shaped. So here I started experimenting myself.
I winded the trunk with tissue paper and "glued" that with the diluted white glue mixture. That came out nice. Plus the fact that it gives a nice underground for your spackle/putty/plaster opf paris whatever you use to cover it.
I used the lcihen stuff from Slodders tree to make the complete leafes part. now it`s waiting for a paint job but I`m still waiting for my new AB nozzle to arrive. But I have experimented with some Parsley on some loose lichen and it looked very promising.
I will have some pics online this evening where I have some new progress on the rusty hanomag dio. I`ll keep you all in touch.

Very nice tree. I like the foliage. The richness of the multicolor truck is great.
Very well done.
How long did it take to make?

Thanks for the encouragement guys.......
Slodder,
I took about half a day to get it right........ the wires were very difficult to work with and i ended up with a few sore fingers but the end result was worth it.
I experimented with a few colors before getting the colors of the trunk. Base color brown followed by a black wash and drybrushing it with flesh..........
Faust,
Lookin forward to your tree real soon!

Very nice. That looks like it must haven taken a lot of patience, not always my strong suit.
I moved to Colorado Springs to have four seasons but right now I haven't been able to try out my new airbrush for a month since it's so cold in the garage. I could use some of that "all year round" sun right now.

My man BASTURK!!!
hehe,
we're using the same dry moss, commonly found in this region.
but i use 'Bunga Kertas' branches as the trunk. It sure do have good texture.
mm, next time lets try cutting the moss to smaller pieces so that it can look more real...want to try that now....JOM JOM JOM

Look very good basturk !!
I agree..... cutting the moss in smaller pieces spices up the tree even more.
But, I have to admit.....it looks very good as it is....

Excellent tree Basturk. A few of these together would make a lovely wooded area.
Hey guys have any of you peeked in at the other photographs in Basturks page. These figures are so cool! I love the alien with the cheetah(?) head striking with a spear. The painting is top class man!
