So I've successfully soldered my first few pieces of PE together, but now I have a new problem: how do I remove the flux from the finished pieces? When I worked as a silversmith, I'd just toss the red-hot piece into the "pickle" (sulfuric acid), then give it a vigorous scrubbing with soap and water and it would come out perfectly clean. Compared to jewelry and other objects meant to be worn or otherwise used, however, these fiddly things are so fragile that I can't imagine scrubbing them or doing anything else that could be described as "vigorous." I can sand the residue off from some of the more visible places, but there must be a better method that will get it all off.

Just soak them in a jar with warm water and a bit of sih washing soap and the flux will disappear in minutes. Then it should be necessary only to rince them in plain warm water...
