I uploaded some M2A2 TOW launcher shots, some detail shots of an M109A4 and M109A5 (I'm working on an Italeri M109 now). Also uploaded were some M978 cab shots.

Thanks for uploading the pictures Rob. I have the Revell M109A6 that I had planned to do as an Israeli machine. I now have no idea what to do with it. Was it a Desert Storm vehicle, or maybe in the gulf now?

Sabot,
Great photos! Those are wonderful. Ah to have your play ground (I know you work you but off to have it).

I have kits for both, and both are on my short list. Thanks for posting them.

Chuck, I am not an artillery expert. I can barely tell the differences between the M109 series, but I am about 80% sure the M109A6 Paladin was not fielded during DS/DS. They are most definitely there with the 3rd ID out of Georgia (former 24th ID during the Gulf War). Those would be overall desert tan. 4th ID's are somewhere in route, they are tan too. The ones coming out of Europe with the 1st ID may have been repainted desert tan or may still be NATO camouflaged as they sit in Turkey.

Taking those shots showed me that the idler wheels have lightening holes along the rim. Also there is a series of mounts on the lower front edge of the hull on my kit (M109) and on the older M109A4, but not on the newer M109A5. I took a photo of both of the front hulls because of this. I also notice that on my kit hull there is a large boomerang-shaped object molded forward of the front arc of the turret hole. It is not present on either vehicle. I think someone stated that this was part of the floatation system and was removed on subsequent vehicles. I do not know the validity of this info.
