Uhhhh... the publishers made a big gaffe. RP Hunnicutt requested that it be known that he's alive and living in California.

The book lists him as 1926-2006.

It's not unlike that M*A*S*H* episode where Hawkeye was listed as KIA and was informed that he was "un-person" by an Army bureaucrat. LOL :-) :-)
