Is this model really as bad as it's reputation? BTW Saw the new one by dml in the local store today.

This is as bad as it reputes, and you cannot make it to anything half decent without a lot of after market stuff. I recently built one, and it's like a huge struggle, if you can get the new one... HTH

If was it was kit 6001, its the old dog of a kit that came out years ago. If it was Horrinese which just came out a couple months ago, I've heard and seen awesome reviews on it.

What's the problem with it? Is it an accuracy/shape issue or a build/fit issue, or both? Not that I'd know the difference between an accurate one and an inaccurate one.

Quite a few people have built the old one. The new one is darn good from the write up I have seen on ML

The real problem with this kit was it could not be assembled by humans in this universe... maybe aliens from another planet could assemble it... but, it was extremely difficult to get the fighting compartment walls to fit.

In addition, there were many accuracy issues with the fighting compartment and many simplications in the details of the gun. Plus, the suspension had soft detail and was in my opinion, sort of a generic Pz IV suspension not at all based on a real Nashorn.

The new kit on the other hand is light years ahead in terms of fit, accuracy and overall details.

Tim
