Hi everyone, I have been a long time lurker and this is my first imput on this forum. This is my first attempt at a 1/35 AFV. I built models as a kid/teenager but have recently got back into the hobby after about 15 years. I have been reading the forums for a while and many modelling magazines. Anyway I have had this kit for a few years and thought it would be a good start. The whole experience was "a first" for me and I had quite a few major problems mainly being the turret decals not fitting or staying down even with micro sol/set and me melting botht the vinyl tracks whilst trying to heat them to straighten them out. Hence the copius mud to cover the bad join an gap up. Anyway any comments are welcome.

Looks excellent!
Just one issue: if it's supposed to be used in the desert (I suppose it is, because the colour is sand), there should be no mud!

Nicely done Anthony.
You've painted your Centaur the correct colour.
The Royal Marines Centaurs were painted Dark Earth which had been the standard colour for British vehicles up to late 1943.
The British switched to Khaki Drab, a slightly more green colour, in January 1944.
The RM Armoured Support Group didn't repaint their tanks in the newer colour since the tanks were originally not going to be used anywhere other than the Normandy beaches.
In the original D Day plans, the RMASG Centaurs weren't even going to have engines installed.
I've read somewhere that the tanks were turned over to French units after the Normandy beachhead had been secured.
Cheers.

Looking good mate!
I think that, despite of the problems, you've done a good job on the decals
Cheers!

Nice work. You've done a good job, and the decals are very well done as mentioned.
Good luck with your next project.
Cheers
