G'day fellas,
Sorry to ask dumb questions - I'm sure this has been asked a million times...
Am building the Trump Mine Plow M1A1 and the instructions say to have the hydraulic hose for the plow to run randomly into the open driver's hatch - to me this seems dumb because I'm sure the driver would be buttoned up if there are mines going off a few metres away from him (I sure as hell would!)...so where should the hydraulic hose run to from the plow system?
Thanks fellas, there's not many good plow pics on the net, so had to ask

Stewy,
Not a hydraulic line, but an electric line. Three options for running the cable system:
On external mount equipped tanks (M1A2, M1A2SEP, some M1A1 AIM's), there's a box to the right of the driver's hatch, if you are standing from the front. Cable runs to it, connects in.
A vision block insert for the right side block can be used, where the cable connects to it, and and internal cable runs down. This let's the driver still have a part of his right side vision block. This is the preferred method when you don't have the external mount.
In the abscence of having the mount or the insert, you can remove your periscope and just run the cable inside. Least preferred, but still highly likely in these days. Not all plow kits have all of the pieces offered, and a good tanker will make it work with what he has.
However, you will never see the cable run into an open hatch unless you are just testing it in the motorpool.
Hope that helps,
Jed

Jed, that's a sensational answer, thanks mate - so what you're sayign is that I should run it through the right vision block?
Should it be the forward or aft side of the block?
Thanks so much for your help mate - really appreciate it!
