Hi all,

It's time for me show you my new project.

It's my first attempt in 1/48 scale.
I plan to reproduce quite the same photo :

My first impress when I opened the box was to think how it's bad to get this die cast chassis.

Well, after doing my 6 sets of wells , I've added those 2 plastic strips. It will be very useful to hide the tracks that could be seen through the turret !!!

The rear panel was a little bit....rough ! I've made a new grid and added those 4 little strips.

The driving post was just a little bit detailled because whit the upper hull we can't see many thing inside.

Next step the combat compartment !

The main problem was to understand how is the shape of the racks. I wanted to replace this ugly kit's part :

I drew it on a piece of paper before reproduce it on the plastic card .
I think I'm going to leave just one ammo container on its rack. A lot of work but the result is quite good !

The floor .
Some PE scraps was used to simulate the hinges. A little plastic strip should be add above the rear grid to mask an empty space !

The driving compartment will stay " light" . We won't see many thing through the hatches.
On the left side , the small dashboard is waiting to get a back, but I should paint it first !

The radio ( SCR 510 ) is scratch built. It's not glued yet because it will be paint separately.

And here it is ! One more try with the upper hull to see how it goes ! Great ! nothing to adjust , all fit well !

Next step the turret !
