Hi,
Well i'm currently in the process of starting my very first diorama.
Highly inspired by Henks Hungarian house i've decided i would like to make a similar copy but i'm very confused by what materials to use.
Wooden beams/floorboards, where do i source such small items for 1/35 scale?
Roof tiles, also as above.
wallpaper, would dolls house wallpaper be fine or too thick?
Again many thanks for your help,
James.
I shall post pictures of my progression.

I usually source them in the naval section of the local hobby store

There are some ready made in resin, but I do not remember the manufacturer, anyway I build some times ago a kind of wooden mould and make them using Das pronto (a kind of modeling clay)

For wooden beams and floorboards, you could use basswood. At Hobby Lobby they have a stand full of different sizes. All the pieces are fractions of an inch which is really close to 1/35 scale. I used 1/32" thick pieces as floor by figuring that it would be almost 1" in 1/35. For wooden beams, you can either cut the size you need from larger pieces or just buy the small sizes.
Hope it turns out great!
