Well everyone,
Here they are - the final posts of my tree. I have placed it in a machine gun nest diorama. A pair of 30 cal. gunners have set up next to a small hedge row and tree.
The guys are Tamiya's and I had always loved the 30 cal, so I jumped at the chance. This 'was' my second 'real' diorama. It's the one I have mentioned that was on the shelf on minute and then it decided to play catch with Pickleman - Oooops. Guess who lost, even though they were armed with a 30 cal these guys lost. The original tree was demolished, the hedges were pretty crushed and the sand bags (Tamiya - yea I know - I've since learned to make them myself -- sooo much better. Live and learn).
These pictures aren't the greatest, indoors three 60w light bulbs. Oh well, when I get some better weather I'll redo them all. These'll give you a hint at what I've done.

Comments always welcome. Keep on buildin'

Thanks guys
basturk - The majority of the foliage is lichen and I did paint the stalks brown. I examined the tree and where I could see what looked more limb like - I painted brown to match the trunk.
The leaves on the tree were randomly painted various shades of green to add variety to it.

Faust - The hedge row and the tree were made the same way, just in a smaller scale.

Thanks again.

Real nice dio, I would say that you used the KISS method (Keep It Simple Idiot) and it works greatly, a very small and eye catching scene.
Congratulations, and I confess you inspired me to make something like you did...
Keep up the good work!
Cheers

I've got a plane in the Gallery/Dioramas another one On DIsplay under Features
I did Cold Stare for the Window of Oportunity Campaign in the Campaig Gallery.
I have plans to photograph an M48, Pnzr II, F4, and I'll be finishing up a small diorama of an M3 soon.

Thanks for the complements.
