Yup, it has happened. I have built a wingy thingy. It is an AFSOC PC-6 Pilatus Porter (the little prop plane seen in Air America). I built it for a customer. Check it out over at Aeroscale.

For the love of god and all that is good Gino, step away from the winged thinged or we'll have to handle you with extreme prejudice....

Easy now, easy....I am placing the wingy thingy on the floor....I'm backing away slowly.... I'm picking up the Dragon M1A1AIM now. :-) :-) :-)

I did put some rucksacks and an M4 with it, doesn't that count for anything???

that just makes it a tank wannabe!

Put any weapons down, get on your knees and place your hands above your head, face down.

You know, it always starts like this...
"One propeler doesn't hurt"
"It'll only be this once"
" I don't really like building them"

Seriously though, nice little display. I take it the space in front is for a plaque, but will there be figures? The opened up door and the gear on the edge of the roa... ..runway could perhaps do with a figure to connect them. Just a thought.

If you're good at building tanks, you can be just aas good at building anything else...

Cheers

No figs, this is how the buyer wanted it. The cut-out is for a plaque that the buyer is having made.

Gino-- too much time at Maxwell. I am crushed. What next from you? A dreaded water thing? (As usual, really nice job.)

Maybe, I do have some Brown Water Navy craft in the pile. They were more Arny than Navy though, so I geuss that doesn't count. I can't bring myself to do anything bluewater though.

Thanks.

As long as you don't start a new callsign called HeavyAircraft I think you're still ok.

As I mentioned "over there" good work, it does us good to build something outside our comfort-zone every now and again.

That's a nice little dio Gino. Looks great. As far as crossing over is concerned, hey variety is the spice of life. In my short time in the hobby I've only ever built armor. But recently I purchased my first two a/c kits, an A-10 and an F-16. And I can't wait to get started. I think I'm just burnt out on painting road wheels and assembling tracks so hopefully these kits will get me out of the rut I'm in. Plus I'll have to learn new skills and techniques which is always a good thing.

Hi Gino,
Ignore all those who tell you to leave the winged things alone. Feel the wind beneath your wings! Remember there are aircraft with...ARMOUR! Think Il-2 Stormovik! Think A-10 Warthog -er- Thunderbolt II...

I'm not too proud to admit it ; I Visit AEROSCALE Like the work you've done on the Pilatus.
