I am using Lucky Models for the first time. They sent me two notifications that my orders shipped on 24 January and should take 7-14 days to get here. Not here yet. Should I be concerned?
thanks

Hi DJ,
I wouldn't be to concerned, if it doesn't show up write to Silvia at Lucky and find out what the deal is, she's very helpful and wants to keep her customers happy, I get stuff from them regularly.

If you click your order, you will normally get a scanned picture of the actual label from your parcel with a T&T number.

Maybe worth 2 minuts to look it up

Here's a random copy of one of my orders

DJ in my new job I have to deal with customers every day who haven't gotten their orders. The one thing I'm learning is that these expected delivery dates are kind of like what Mark Twain supposedly said about the weather, "climate is what you expect, weather is what you get. " The ETAs are just that, estimates. I've only ordered twice from Lucky, but each one came just fine. All the other posts on there here all echo Matt's, they do just fine. You'll get your stuff.

Same problem here....I ordered at almost the exact date that DJ and no news from them since they confirmed payment. Hope this will be resolved soon, since I have ordered items before from another Hong Kong based company and nothing but best service from them

Good luck

Well, I sent them an e mail asking them to assist me. One of the orders is for the Luch's and I am certainly anxious to see that baby. I will keep you posted.

Usually Silvia will send out a shipping confirmation, meaning thev've actually shipped it. Also one thing to remember about Lucky is 'available" does not mean they have it at the warehouse in front of them. "In stock" means its in their hands.

Dear DJ,

I have personally checked your order. I guess some data entry error during your order placement makes the order send to Uruguay instead of USA.

I have send your PM and we are ready to assists to resolve the problem.

Greetings: DJ, after reading your concern with Lucky Models I had to examine my own situation with them as well. I ordered some items before Christmas and it has not arrived and in fact, it has most likely got lost at the postal system. I wrote Sylvia many times (at least 10 times) and did not get a reply. The reason I was not getting her reply mail was that Yahoo sometimes either inadvertently blocks them or they get channeled to the bulk mail bin. DJ, if you experience the same problem with your mail, try going to your bulk bin—it may be there. Finally, I wrote to them with an ultimatum that if they didn’t at least reply then I would expose them on the Armorama. Interestingly, Raymond the owner called me personally in which I was shocked. He is very understanding and we talked for quite sometime and eventually I was satisfied and he assured me his company will mail another shipment to a different address. Overall, I was very well pleased with the help from them and I will be certain to patronize them again. I hope this helps, kind regards--Brian

I have had no problems at all with Lucky Models. To Raymond: Keep up the excellent work, and pass it on to your staff!!

The only problem I have had was my order was late arriving, but that was due to my post office. Apparantly they couldnt see what apartment number I was in, even though it was clearly TYPED on the label. It had actually arrived early from Lucky Model, then sat in the post office for a week and a half before I went in and asked them. Just make sure the item you order is "In stock" unless willing to wait a while. There are a couple kits I really am willing to wait for though marked as "available". It sometimes, as I have heard, and am now experiencing, takes a while to actually get some kits back in stock. But for the prices, and the fact that I cant find any of them at my LHS, they are well worth any wait.

I'll echo the comments made by most folks--Lucky Models has been very reliable for me. I've placed five or so orders with them over the last six months, and all have arrived reasonably fast. International mail can be an iffy proposition, so you may want to check with your local post office to see if they are holding a package for you, Klaus. I hope both DJ and you get your packages soon!

Brian-- I appreciate your response along with the other fellows who have participated in this discussion. I have no doubt the fine folks in Hong Kong are honorable people. However, I am currently out a hefty bit of change for a Tasca Luchs and another order of aftermarkets products. I tend to view myself as a fine and honorable person who understands mail foul ups, e mail junk handling, shipping time estimations, etc. I am also sympathetic to the human error that caused the packages in question to go to Uruguay not the USA. The question now is what do we do about it? Are we going to waitt a period to see if the package gets re routed from South America to Viriginia (I don't think so, they are lost items) or are they going to ship another two orders to the correct address in the USA. I think we should follw this action for two reasons: One, these folks at Lucky Models are fair and honest. Let them propose a resolution and I will gladly share it with others on Armorama to enhance their reputation. Two, if we cannot resolve the matter than other should know about it and let people in Armorama make up their own minds on the fairness. I am not trying to steal and they are not attempting to take my money without providing the goods. Let's see what happens.
thanks again to all

Friends-- the latest part of the continuing saga to resolve the lost shipment. Raymond from Lucky Models contacted me and we believe there was a glich in the software since Uruguay is the country posted ahead of US on his website address file. He believes the package will eventually be returned to him. In the meantime, they are sending me the three items I orginally ordered. I will post an update here when they arrive, but as of this time, I am a very pleased/happy Soldier.
So, my recommendation is to encourage people to deal with these fine folks. They are fair and he even wanted to call me from Hong Kong to discuss the matter. I am impressed.

Some news from here also.

Besides the answer gived by Raymond, I just received an e-mail from Silvia explaining the restock issue, and asking me for instructions for the delivery of my 2 orders. Really nice costumer service. Thanks Luckymodel for your concern.
